Finally a good looking building comes to the West End, right down the road from the Goodrich Residential duck headquarters! We refuse to let it be overshadowed by the Avalon monstrosity that is going up on Lomasney behind the TD Garden. The 17 story tower at Lovejoy Wharf (131 Beverly Street) is the Ryan Gosling of condo buildings. The project has undergone major construction to create a 250,000 square foot area containing 175 residential units and shops, according to the BRA report.
One awesome new addition to this area will include a brand new 12 foot wide Harborwalk in front of the building by the waterfront. Along with this, a 250-foot long dock will be placed by the waterside for boating access.
Just around the corner are some West End bar scene staples including The Fours, The Harp, Grand Canal, West End Johnnies and one of our favorites The Tam as well as a couple of newcomers to the block: 65 Causeway BBQ and Tavern in the Square. We’ve also seen some great new coffee shops including a Boston Common Coffee on Canal Street, CuppaCoffee(office favorite) and Equal Exchange.
This is going to be a fantastic location for commuting. Nestled so close to North Station grants access to Commuter Rails, Green line, Orange Line, Storrow Drive, Rt 1 and 93 N/S. This beautiful building is also centrally located for walking to North End, Beacon Hill, Financial District and Charlestown. We can’t wait until more details roll out, check back soon for updates or reach out to be put on our exclusive update mailing list!
